An Austin Homebrew Recipe (AHS)

Bottled 6/18/10

Mini Mash – 5 Gallon batch

Grains:

  • 1 3/4 lb Belgian Pilsner Malt
  • 1 lb White Wheat

Initial mashing and boil in  4 gallons of water.

Mashing Notes:

45 min Total @ 152˚; Sparged with 3/4 gallon @ 170˚

Extract:

3 1/2 lb Wheat Extract (Liquid)

1 lb of Honey

Hops:

  • 60 minutes: 1 oz Hallertau
  • 15 minutes: 4 oz dried Hibiscus
  • 15 minutes: 1/2 oz Cracked Coriander Seed
  • 15 minutes: 1/2 oz Bitter Orange Peel
  • 15 minutes: Irish Moss
  • 5 minutes: 1 oz Hallertau

O.G. of 1.050

Yeast:

Belgian Wit Ale 400 #00015

Primary Fermentation at 76° for 8 days

Secondary Fermentation at 76° for 7 days

F. G. = 1.009

ABV = 5.4%
