The Denton Pogues gave me a Christmas gift certificate to the Stitch Lab so I signed up the ‘Dress of the Month – February’ class. I had two 4-hour sessions with 2 other women and an instructor. It was nice to finally learn some technique and cool tricks to sewing that I haven’t learned on my own, like how to properly sew on an invisible zipper. By the end I had finished and nicely tailored a dress to wear out to dinner/night on the town with my husband! The fabric is a kokka series from a Japanese artist and features brightly colored viewfinder slides that caught my eye in the store. Thank you Pogues!
I used the same, above pattern and bought a cool, professional fabric to make a blouse for work:
To go with the sewing theme, I made a shirt a month or so ago from a pattern I created with cute pintucks and another glorious fabric from the Lab
Andrew and I enjoyed our [mini] fashion photo shoot to document my sewing up to this point. I am going to make some pillows next for our new modern chairs that should make their way to our home in May! I will post that when the time comes! More sewing to come…
